The Chicago PEACE Plan was born out of a desire to bring positive, collaborative and sustainable change to Chicago neighborhoods in need of revitalization.
We believe that the obstacle to change in communities is not a lack of resources, but a lack of relationship between community stakeholders. As such, we aim to be a bridge for ongoing conversation, education and transformation in neighborhoods by investing in five main areas:
P – PARTNERSHIP
E – EDUCATION
A – ARTS
C – COMPASSION
E – ENTERPRISE
We collaborate with neighborhood leaders, individuals and organizations who are working effectively to bring positive change to communities.
Mentorship, role models and education are necessary to create the skills and imagination for a new generation of leaders committed to thriving communities.
We recognize the importance of artistic and creative expression in influencing individual and shared visions of a preferred future.
We aim to meet people at their place of need and to give them access to resources required for practical, immediate help.
Sustainable change in communities will require the creation and nurture of business and entrepreneurial opportunities within the community.
